The Characteristics and Fault Causes of Pneumatic Hydraulic Ball Valves

The features and Fault Causes of Pneumatic Hydraulic Ball Valves

Structural Features
1. No automatic shutdown under normal circumstances
The pneumatic hydraulic ball valve is equipped with upper and lower pressure limits, as well as a pressure drop rate to meet operational needs. When the pressure generated in the pipeline is higher than the upper limit or lower than the lower limit, it will cause the ball valve to automatically close.

2. Multiple operating modes
The pneumatic hydraulic ball valve has four operating modes: manual, automatic, remote control, and pneumatic. When using, we can choose the appropriate operating mode according to the actual situation to ensure the safety of the valve during operation.

3. High security
The pneumatic hydraulic ball valve uses high-pressure natural gas or manual pumps as the power source, without the need for additional mechanical or electrical equipment for energy supply. When used, the accident rate is low; there is no danger, and the required cost is low.

Cause analysis of the fault
1. The ball valve has internal leakage. There are many situations where internal leakage occurs in ball valves:
(1) Internal leakage caused by workers' negligence during construction
(2) Internal leakage occurred during the later stages of use

2. The valve stem is leaking. Most ball valves have upper and lower seals on the valve stem, and generally do not require any maintenance to function properly. However, the valve stem may leak due to long-term wear or aging.

3. An abnormality occurs during the operation of the ball valve. When operating ball valves, anomalies often occur due to operational reasons:
(1) After long-term use, the ball valve did not undergo regular maintenance, causing the valve seat and ball to lock. At this point, the ball valve may be damaged due to the difficulty of operation.
(2) When the natural gas transported in the pipeline contains too much water, condensate water will be generated due to continuous changes in the environment during transportation. When the water inside the valve is at the lowest temperature point, it will freeze in cold conditions, causing the valve to fail to open and close.
(3) Due to the transportation of gas and liquid, the pneumatic hydraulic ball valve may cause pipeline blockage or the closing of the pipeline speed limiting valve.
(4) When dealing with the leakage of the valve stem, the maintenance worker tightened the screw too tightly, causing difficulty in opening and closing during use.
